In 2008, MBCH Children and Family Ministries fulfilled a long time dream of starting a summer camp for the children served in its Treatment Foster Homes and Therapeutic Group Homes. We have selected these children to bring to camp, not because they are the easiest to work with, but because they have the greatest need. For most, this will be their first camp experience.
Do you pay taxes to the State of Missouri? Do you feel that the State of Missouri or The LIGHT House better supports your Right to Life values? Foster parent grief isn't talked about much, yet it is cited as one of the most common reasons for not continuing to foster. Months or years of care and love for a child who moves can leave a hole in the hearts and lives of foster families. This training video helps the grieving foster parent work through the grieving process.
Our “Family Works” philosophy says we believe that children should be with family, but if they can not be with their biological family, we want children to be with people who can be family for them. MBCH Children and Family Ministries actively recruit adult Christians to take care of these children. You can find out how the process works by attending an informational meeting held monthly across the state.
Our tour of Missouri Baptist Children’s Home begins with a short history of our beginnings in 1886 in St. Louis and shows how we have grown into a statewide ministry serving the needs of children, youth, and families across the state of Missouri. Visit our campuses and offices and see how we are currently ministering to over 700 children, youth and families.

Pocket change is not insignificant. Many people think an unborn baby is insignificant. The LIGHT House thinks both have value. You can support the mothers and babies of The LIGHT House by participating in or holding a baby bottle drive. Your insignificant pocket change can save the life of a baby and introduce the mother to the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
