Examples of Volunteer Opportunities:
Outreach Ministry Child Care: The Outreach Ministry is seeking volunteer childcare providers. We are in need of 4 volunteers committed to helping 1-2 time(s) per month on Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:30 pm. Children’s ages range from 1-10 years old.
Baby Boutique Assistants: Be available from 5:30-7:30 pm on Tuesdays to assist staff during “shopping hours” in the Boutique. Volunteers would assist staff during check out of shoppers, and help organize clothing and donations. Weekly or bi-weekly commitment is preferred.
Service Projects: Throughout the year, there are opportunities for yard work, light carpentry, and painting.
Leading a Class: We are seeking individuals to teach life skills to our moms. The commitment level may be weekly, monthly, or as needed depending on the program.
Door Monitor: Greet clients upon arrival for Outreach programs.
We view our volunteers as an extension of our staff. Because of this, we ask volunteers to go through a process similar to that of new employees. We ask that you complete an application, which includes references, complete a background check, and go through an orientation process.
